About the work
Ahmad Shah faced a coup d'état in February 1921 and was forced to accept Seyyed Zia as Prime Minister. He removed Seyed Zia from power in June 1921 and subsequently appointed several Prime Ministers. After a second trip to Europe, he reluctantly appointed Reza Khan Sepahsalar as the Prime Minister in October 1923. Ahmad Shah left Iran for France in the same month beginning his exile.
